2026 / Translator (and) author

Tekstualia 2026, no 3 (86)

The volume will concentrate on both the relationship between the translator and the author, its specificity and variations, as well as the creative aspect of translators’ work. We will try to distinguish the areas where this work leaves an indelible mark. We will consider not only when and how a translator has been recognized as an author of literary texts in the context of past and present practice and knowledge of the history of the art of translation, but also when and under what circumstances he or she still remains an author in the context of the development of artificial intelligence and new technologies.

Deadline for submissions: 15 April 2026.
