The volume will focus on the broadly understood artistic activity of Józef Hen in the domain of literature and film. A writer, playwright, and screenwriter, Hen celebrated the centenary of birth in 2023. The volume will discuss his work not only in reinterpretative categories (essay, biography and autobiography, prose, young adult novel, film script, plot construction – here the category of "founding scene") but also comparative perspective (e.g. in relation to Hanna Krall). In addition to this, new research contexts of Hen’s work will be established.
