The use of stylized elements referring to the work of other writers is characteristic of Łobodowski’s writing. The article addresses the question of how Zuzanna Ginczanka, the poet’s friend from his youth, is present in his volume In memory of Shulamite. The article also discusses the infl uence of the biblical tradition, in particular the Song of Songs, on the works of Zuzanna Ginczanka and Józef Łobodowski.
