The Art of Perspective: Strzemiński and Leśmian

The article highlights fundamental correspondences between the work of Władysław Strzemiński and of Bolesław Leśmian. The category of perspective provides a starting point for the analysis. The key problem of article is the philosophy of art and the question of cultural and philosophical heritage, which helps connect the models of thinking about art in Leśmian and Strzemiński. The examination of Strzemiński’s and Leśmian’s writings demonstrates their analogous ways of organizing a game that engages a viewer’s or spectator’s perception and a work of art.
