Gładkowska Dorota
PhD in English literature, MSc in biology, Assistant Professor at the Department of English Philology at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. Her research interests centre around sixteenth/seventeenth-century metaphysical poetry and its philosophical background. She specialises in the works of John Donne and is a member of the international John Donne Society. She is the author of several articles and chapters in monographs, both in English and in Polish. Her recent publications include: “Should One Be Afraid of Death? Holy Sonnets by John Donne ˗ Tradition and Novelty” (2016); “The Holy Sonnets by John Donne – The Image of God Encoded in Text Patterns” [in Polish] (2018); “The 16th -Century Metaphysical Poet as the Creator of the World Presented.
