Kuczyńska-Koschany Katarzyna
(Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), (born 1970), Prof. PhD hab., Polish philologist, comparatist, essayist, prose writer, Scientific Secretary of the Committee on Literary Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of European Tradition Research at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Her research interests include poetry and its interpretation, poetic reception (Rilke, Rimbaud), Holocaust of Jews, synapses of poetry and visual arts, and Polish and European literary essays. She is the author of numerous books, including: Rilke poetów polskich (2004), Rycerz i Śmierć. O “Elegiach duinejskich” Rainera Marii Rilkego (2010), Interlinie w ciemności. Jednak interpretacja (2012), „Всепоэтыжиды”. Antytotalitarne gesty poetyckie i kreacyjne wobec Zagłady oraz innych doświadczeń granicznych (2013), Skąd się bierze lekcja polskiego? Scenariusze, pomysły, konteksty (2016), Nikt nie widzi dobrze. Eseje (2018). She has published over two hundred and fifty articles. She is also the co-author of a textbook for high school students Staropolskie korzenie współczesności (2004). Recently she has edited a selection of Anna Pogonowska’s poems Wiersze (nie)zapomniane (2018). She publishes scientific and literary texts in Polish, English, Bulgarian, German and Russian.
