Kochanowski Marek
(University of Białystok), PhD hab., Prof. UwB, cultural animator and organiser of many literary events. His areas of interest include Polish modernist, regional and popular literature. His postdoctoral dissertation dealt with the relationship between novel and melodramatism. He is the author of several dozen academic papers and essays, including following books: Powieści Witkacego wobec schematów powieści popularnej (2007), Melodramatyzm i powieść. Od rytuału do sensacji (Żeromski, Mniszkówna, Strug) (2015), Modernizm mniej znany. Studia i szkice (2016). Together with P. Stasiewicz he has published Modernizacje tradycji w wybranych utworach współczesnej kultury popularnej (2013). He has also edited and co-edited such volumes as: Wiek kobiet w literaturze (2002), Twórczość Wiesława Kazaneckiego (2010), Podlasie w literaturze – literatura Podlasia (po 1989 roku). Nowoczesność – regionalizm-uniwersalizm (2012).
