Kędzierski Marek

(born 1953), writer, translator, critic, director. His criticism focuses mainly on Samuel Beckett, Thomas Bernhard and Alberto Giacometti, all of whose works he translated, commented on and put on stage in Poland and abroad. He has written four novels, several book translations and many criticism translations, published in Poland, mainly in Kwartalnik Artystyczny. He co-operates with Berlin Lettre International quarterly and Parisian l’Europe. He has organised several theatre festivals, for example in Kraków, Berlin, Strasbourg, Trondheim, Zurich, and Freiburg im Breisgau. He has staged his plays in Kraków, Warsaw, Paris, Atlanta, Helsingborg, Karlsruhe, and Freiburg. He is the co-author of the documentary on British intellectual Barbara Bray.
