Fiłosofow Dymitr
(1872–1940), literary and drama critic, editor, one of most notable figures of Russia’s Silver Age. He was associated with Sergei Diaghilev, the founder of the group Mir Iskusstwa and of the Ballets Russes. Together with Zinaida Gippius and Dmitry Merezhkovsky he founded the Religious-Philosophical Society of St. Petersburg. From 1919 till the end of his life he lived in Poland, where he published Russian newspapers, and where he organized the Polish-Russian discussion club called the Little House in Kolomna (1934- 1936).
