Czaplejewicz Eugeniusz
(University of Warsaw), (born 1938), Prof. PhD hab., retired professor at the University of Warsaw, literary theorist and comparative studies scholar. He was the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Polish Studies (1978–1981), the Head of the Section of Literary Theory and Poetics (1982–1997), and the Head of the Slavonic Poetics (1985–1991). At the Pultusk Academy of Humanities (formerly: Pultusk School of Humanities) he held the position of professor and the Chair of the Department of History and Literary Theory (1994–2016). Moreover, he was a member of the editorial board and the deputy editor-in-chief of the Przegląd Humanistyczny quarterly (1976–2010). His areas of interest include intercultural and transcultural phenomena of Polish and European literature, and relations between arts (literature and other arts, especially architecture, gardens, dance).
