Chowaniec Urszula Ulla
(1976) Ph.D./ post-doc (habilitacja) in literature and language. She is a senior lecturer in Polish culture and language at Lund University. Ulla mainly researches and teaches Polish women’s literature and culture and the history of Jewish women. She also lectures as a Professor at the Andrzej Frycz-Modrzewski Cracow University in Poland (online courses) and Jewish Women’s Literature at the Paideia Folkhögskola, European Institute for Jewish Studies in Stockholm. She is the author of a monograph Melancholic Migrating Bodies in Contemporary Women’s Writing (2015) and a monograph on the novels of Irena Krzywicka, a Jewish feminist from the 1930s, W poszukiwaniu Kobiety: O wczesnych powieściach Ireny Krzywickiej (In Search for a Woman: Early Novels of Irena Krzywicka, Kraków 2007). She edited and introduced the issue on Queering Poland in Central Europe, Volume 19, Issue 1 (2021): https:// www.tandfonline.com/toc/yceu20/19/1.
