Szeremeta Katarzyna

is an Associate Professor of English Literature in the Chair of English Philology at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. In 2017 she completed her PhD on the subject of narrative patterns in Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway and its contemporary reversionings. She has published papers on Virginia Woolf’s oeuvre; Woolf’s status as an icon; appropriation of Woolf’s image in popular culture and literature (Studia Litteraria); Mrs Dalloway and its postmodernist and neomodernist progeny. Her research interests include contemporary postmodernist and neomodernist rewritings of canonical fiction, images of a writer in popular culture and literature, microliterature and Twitter fiction.
