Zgorzelski Andrzej
(University of Gdańsk), (1934-2017), prof., researcher in English language literature, a long-term Head of the Section of Literary Research of the Institute of English Studies at the University of Gdańsk. His numerous scientific works include: Kreacje świata sensów. Szkice o współczesnej powieści angielskiej (1975); Fantastyka. Utopia. Science Fiction. Ze studiów nad rozwojem gatunków (1980); O nowelach Conrada. Interpretacje (1984); Konstrukcja i sens. Szkice o angielskich tekstach poetyckich (1992); System i funkcja.Ustalenia metodologiczne i propozycje teoretyczno literackie (1999); Born of the Fantastic (2004). He also wrote a book of poetry entitled Doświadczenia (2006).
