2023 / Polyphony. Textual strategies

Tekstualia issue No. 4 (75) 2023

The category of polyphony, related to musical polyphony, was adapted to the field of literary studies by Mikhail Bakhtin who, analysing the works of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, referred it to the genre of the novel. In this issue, we would like to perceive polyphony broadly, and focus on the recognition and description of related textual strategies and their functions in literature, philosophical and poly-discursive works, as well as other texts of culture, at different levels of their artistic organization. We also concentrate on strategies for mapping and creating the phenomenon of polyphony in translation.
