Kubińska Olga
(University of Gdańsk), (born 1963), PhD hab., Prof. UG, translation studies scholar, researcher of Renaissance literature, lecturer in translation studies at the University of Gdańsk, guest lecturer at the City University in London, President of the Polish Shakespearean Association. She has received scholarships from the Kościuszko Foundation and the Polish-American Arts Association. She is the co-editor of the publishing series Przekładając nieprzekładalne. She translates essays and literature by authors such as: Anthony Burgess, Geoffrey Hill, George Steiner, Frank Kermode and Zygmunt Bauman. She has received the “Literatura na świecie” award for the monograph Przybyłem tu, by umrzeć. Relacje z placów straceń (2013). She is the author of four volumes of poetry: Biały kwadrat i inne obrazy (1996), Zaduszki (2011), Życie. wydanie drugie poprawione (2014), Body art (2016). Her works have been published in numerous academic journals, for example in Kresy, Topos, Zeszyty Literackie, Przegląd Polityczny, Tekstualia, Migotanie, Poetry Wales (GB).
