2018 / Leśmian in Europe and Around the Globe
Tekstualia issue No. 1 (52) 2018
Despite the fact literary scholars and writers share the view that Bolesław Leśmian belongs – as Czesław Miłosz once said – “among the greatest literary figures of Europe,” or even the world, such adulation seldom goes hand in hand with proper comparative literary studies. This is the reason in issue 1 (52) of Tekstualia we would like to publish articles on the following topics:
- Foreign, historically verifiable sources of literary inspirations of Leśmian, which situate his oeuvre on an international comparative plateau;
- Studies regarding translation of Leśmian’s literary output (existing in contemporary spheres
- especially in its poetic guise – of English, Russian, Dutch, Ukrainian, Belarussian, French, German, Spanish, Slovak, Slovene, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Hebrew and Italian).
